Gmail Prompts for AI Agents: Turn Your Inbox Into Revenue and Follow-ups

Which agent are you using?

1. First, make the agent prove what it can see

Before you touch anything, show me what you can actually access in my Gmail.
Show me:
1. The date range of messages you can read (oldest and newest).
2. The 10 most recent threads, sender and subject only.
3. What you CANNOT see or do here. For example: you can't tell whether I've opened a message, you can't read anyone else's inbox, and you can't send or delete without my approval.
4. One example of a search you could run for me, written in plain English.
Do not summarize, sort, or act on anything yet. I just want to confirm what you're working with.

2. Find the money hiding in your inbox

Search my Gmail for revenue I may be leaving on the table. Look at the last [90] days.
Show me:
1. Every thread where I sent an invoice, quote, or proposal and never got a clear yes, a payment, or a reply.
2. For each one: who it went to, the amount if it's stated, the date I last sent something, and how many days it's been silent.
3. Before you flag anything as unpaid, search the same thread for a later reply, a receipt, or a "paid" confirmation, and drop anything that's already settled.
4. Rank the list by dollar amount, largest first.
Do not draft or send anything yet. Just show me the list.

3. Find the dropped balls

Find the threads where someone is waiting on ME. Look at the last [30] days.
Show me:
1. Every thread whose most recent message is from someone else and appears to ask me a question or ask me to do something.
2. For each: the sender, the subject, one line on what they're waiting for, and how many days it's been.
3. Flag anything from a client or a paying customer as high priority.
4. Leave out newsletters, receipts, automated notifications, and cold sales pitches.
Show me the list sorted by how long they've been waiting.

4. Draft the follow-ups (drafts only)

For the dropped balls and the unanswered money threads you just found, write replies for me.
Rules:
1. One draft per thread, in my voice: plain, warm, direct, no corporate filler.
2. Reference the specific thing the thread is about so it never reads like a template.
3. For money threads, assume good faith. Ask if they have any questions and make it easy to pay. Do not accuse anyone.
4. Save every one as a DRAFT. Do not send a single message.
5. Give me a numbered list of what you drafted so I can review and send only the ones I want.

5. Scan how your client relationships actually sound

Read my recent threads with clients from the last [60] days and tell me how each relationship actually sounds.
Show me:
1. Each active client, with a warm / neutral / cooling read based on their own words and how quickly they reply.
2. The specific line or moment that made you rate it that way. Quote it.
3. Anyone who was active and has now gone quiet.
Base this only on what's written. If there isn't enough to judge, say "not enough signal" instead of guessing. Do not draft anything yet.

6. Extract the promises you made

Go through my sent mail from the last [14] days and pull out every commitment I made.
Show me:
1. Each thing I said I would do or send, who I said it to, and any date I named.
2. Whether I appear to have followed through, based on later messages in the same thread.
3. The ones with no evidence of follow-through, at the top of the list.
This is a checklist for me, not a message to anyone. Don't draft or send.

7. Audit the noise burying your real mail

Tell me what's burying the real mail in my inbox. Look at the last [30] days.
Show me:
1. The 15 senders or newsletters taking up the most room that I rarely, if ever, reply to.
2. For each, roughly how many messages they sent and how many I opened or answered, based on what you can see.
3. A suggested keep / mute / unsubscribe call for each, with a one-line reason.
Do not unsubscribe, archive, or delete anything. Just give me the list so I can decide.

8. Build a VIP watchlist

I never want to miss email from the people who matter most.
Show me:
1. Based on who I reply to fastest and most often, the 15 people or domains that behave like my VIPs.
2. Anything from that list in the last [7] days that I haven't replied to yet.
3. A short rule, written in plain English, that I could set up to surface these first from now on.
Just show me the list and the proposed rule. Don't change any settings yet.

9. The Monday inbox digest

I want a short inbox briefing I can read in two minutes. Build it from the last 7 days.
Show me:
1. Money: any invoice, quote, or proposal still open, with amounts.
2. Waiting on me: threads where someone needs a reply, most overdue first.
3. Waiting on them: things I'm expecting back, with how long it's been.
4. One relationship worth a proactive touch this week, and why.
Keep it tight. Once this looks right, I'll ask you to run it every Monday morning.

10. Turn your inbox upkeep into a standing agent

I want to stop doing inbox triage by hand. Design a standing email agent for me.
Show me:
1. A short spec: what it checks (money owed, dropped balls, VIP mail), how often, and what it reports back.
2. What it's allowed to do on its own (flag, sort, draft) versus what always needs my approval (send, delete, unsubscribe, change settings).
3. A 20-run trust ladder: what it does under my supervision first, and what earns it more freedom.
4. The exact recurring prompt I would give it.
Write the spec. Don't take any action until I approve it.
